Rihanna Tweets Sentimental Snaps From Late Grandma's Apartment (PHOTOS)
Three months after her grandmother Clara "Dolly" Braithwaite passed away, Rihanna took a break from the fast lane to remember her late "Gran Gran" by sharing personal photos on Twitter.
"Im back at #grangrandollys for the first time without her going through her stuff," Rihanna tweeted on Monday. The "Diamonds" singer stopped by her grandmother's Brooklyn, N.Y., digs to sort through her personal memorabilia and most prized photos.
And, in typical Rihanna fashion, the hitmaker shared the sentimental experience with her many fans and followers.
During the visit to Dolly's one-time home, Rihanna caught up with her grandfather Lionel, whom she lovingly calls "Bravo."
After sifting through dated family albums, the 24-year-old reminisced on happier times with Dolly, who passed away in July at age 80 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Posting a picture of herself and brother Rorrey Fenty snuggling up to grandma, Rihanna wrote, "Look what I found lol #brooklyn #dolly."
The Bahamian also gave the world a glimpse at her late grandmother's many scrapbooks, featuring images and newspaper clippings collected throughout Rihanna's career. "More newspaper clippings," Rihanna wrote. "#grangrandolly she's the greatest."
Rihanna even happened upon old gifts she had given Dolly. "We give her these," said Rihanna, sharing a snap of a group of teddy bears. "She still had them! Lol."
But this certainly wasn't the first time the Bahamian beauty has honored her late grandmother. In September, the already heavily-inked star got brand-new body art in tribute to her Gran Gran. "Goddess Isis- Complete Woman - Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY," she tweeted, showing off the large tat across her chest. "Always in and on my heart #1love."
