Taylor Swift Debuts New Song 'Red' -- Listen to the Singer's Title Track Now (AUDIO)
With only 20 days left until the release of Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, October might as well be known as the month of Red.
A week after releasing her lovesick ballad, "Begin Again," Swift, 22, is at it again. This time, the singer dropped her title track "Red," an uptempo ode to a passionate fling.
"Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street/ Faster than the wind/ Passionate as sin, ended so suddenly," the country-pop singer croons.
Speaking of songs about love, Swift recently told Glamour that it was “presumptuous” of John Mayer to assume that her song “Dear John” is about him, despite the lyrics, "Don't you think nineteen's too young to be played with?"
Mayer recently told Rolling Stone he was "humiliated" by the song. However, Swift has no intention of reading his thoughts on the matter. "I know it wasn't good, so I don’t want to know," she said. "I put a high priority on staying happy, and I know what I can't handle."
On a happier note, Swift is currently filming the music video for her second single, "Begin Again," in Paris. The young singer was spotted -- looking very Parisian in a retro skirt and blouse and oversized red sunglasses -- cruising around the French capital on a vintage bike.
Red drops October 22. Check out the complete lyrics to “Red” on DirectLyrics.
