A shocking argument exploded between American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey on Tuesday -- and even Idol host Ryan Seacrest couldn't deny the obvious tension between the two feuding divas.

On his morning radio show Wednesday morning, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the media personality confirmed the reports and dished some behind-the-scenes details about what really led to Minaj's erratic outburst toward Carey, in which the rapper exclaimed, “I told them, I’m not f***in’ putting up with her f***in’ highness over there," during an audition.

"It was intense," he said. "It was heated."

What else did Seacrest have to say?

"Yesterday, we did about a full day of auditions, and toward the end of the day that there was a very heated, intense argument between a couple of the judges after a contestant performed," he said. "Both of these judges have come with a different perspectives."

"You know that when you put Nicki, Mariah and Keith [Urban] together, you 're going to get different opinions -- which is fantastic," he continued. "But yesterday, it did go too far, to the point where the producers said, 'Let's call it a day.'"

Thankfully, the outburst happened toward the end of the day's production, meaning there were only a handful of contestants yet to audition, according to Seacrest. The host confirmed that all of the Idol hopefuls who had to be sent home yesterday will get their chance to audition for the judges again on Wednesday.

But what happened to the contestant who witnessed the feud first-hand? Seacrest revealed that particular Idol hopeful had to be taken out of the room by a producer -- but not before claiming her "golden ticket" to the next round.
