Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson Confirm Split
Bachelor stars Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have called it quits after nine months of dating, the couple confirmed Friday to Life & Style.
"After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship," they said in a joint statement. "The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers."
"We have nothing but the utmost respect for each other, and both feel this is the right decision," they continued. "We continue to remain friends and will support each other in future endeavors. Thanks to everyone for your love and support, it's been quite a ride."
The split is a complete turnaround from August, when the couple confirmed -- also to Life & Style -- that they had moved in together in Flajnik's San Francisco apartment.
"It's a soft move-in," Flajnik said at the time. "We're spending long periods together to make sure it works.
"We're taking it slow," added Robertson.
The couple got engaged in March, during the season finale of The Bachelor, much to the decry of millions of viewers watching at home.
