Demi Lovato Denies Relationship With One Direction's Niall Horan

Demi Lovato doesn’t mince words in the November issue of Teen Vogue. The X Factor mentor dishes about everything from her ‘friend cleanse’, life after rehab, and those pesky rumors about her dating Niall Horan from One Direction.

The two were seen having an "intimate" dinner at Pink Taco after the MTV VMA's in Los Angeles on Sept. 7 and a source told Celebuzz that "it looked like a first date."

So what does Lovato have to say about the Horan rumors?

Lovato was quick to debunk reports that she’s dating boy bander Horan, 19. “He’s a really awesome, sweet guy,” Lovato gushed to Teen Vogue, “but not my boyfriend.”

“I’m in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself. Obviously, I’m still going to like people – or love them – but I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone, first.”

The Disney star further explained about life after rehab has been “like living in a dream” and added, “I never thought it was possiblE to be happy because of how depressed I was my entire life. I feel so incredible. I’m really happy right now.”

Lovato credits her newfound happiness on keeping good people close to her at all times.

“I did kind of a friend cleanse right after rehab, where I weeded out people who didn’t have my best interests at heart.”
