See who'll be hitting the stage at the American Music Awards!
The nominations for the 40th anniversary of the American Music Awards were announced Tuesday — and chart-toppers Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are leading the pack in nominations.

The sultry songstresses both earned four nominations, while Drake, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Usher followed with three each. Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, fun., Gotye, J.Cole, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan and Pitbull were also nominated, collecting two nominations respectively.

The 2012 AMAs headlining performer was also revealed Tuesday morning.

Who will be gracing the L.A. Live stage this year?

The Voice coach Christina Aguilera is slated to hit the stage, with more performers to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

This year also marks the induction of a new award category for Electronic Dance Music. Nominees include David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Skrillex.
