Sarah Palin to Pen New Diet and Fitness Book as Former Governor Steps Out Looking Dramatically Thinner (PHOTOS & POLL)
There's a reason Sarah Palin looks so thin these days: According to the politico-turned-TV-personality, she's just doing research.
Days after the former governor of Alaska was photographed at a Studio City, Calif., Kmart looking a few sizes smaller, Palin has announced plans to pen a new diet and fitness book.
“Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!” the 48-year-old wrote in an e-mail to People.
“We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy,” Palin added.
Over the weekend, the mother of five was spotted out and about in Flashdance-inspired attire, looking dramatically thin and bony.
Palin’s new look has caused quite the commotion online, with several websites and blogs speculating over her appearance, but according to daughter Bristol, the 2008 vice presidential nominee is doing just fine.In Touch this week.
"I think she is really fit . . . she is lean. She’s beautiful,” the 21-year-old added.
The Sarah Palin's Alaska reality star offered no details on the title or release date of her diet and fitness book, but given her track record, the book could be an instant bestseller.
Palin’s 2009 memoir, Going Rogue, was Number One on the New York Times bestseller list in its first week of release, and went on to sell more than two million copies. Her second book, America by Heart, a compilation of Palin’s favorite literature, speeches and sermons, peaked in 2010 at Number Two on the same NYT list.
