The Middle‘s Eden Sher may not be quite the geek like her character, Sue Heck, on the hit ABC series, but they do share one common trait: They’re both troopers.

The 20-year-old recently stopped by Celebuzz‘s studio where she dished about a concussion she sustained while filming Wednesday’s episode, titled “Bunny Therapy.” On the episode, Sher’s character tries out for the school’s mascot, but winds up falling on her face — literally.

What doid Sher have to say about her on-set injury?

“It was really hot that night and I hadn’t eaten anything that day. We were filming at one in the morning and I had to run through [a banner] in the mascot suit … I ran through the banner and was just like, ‘I’m going to be protected by this suit! Everything’s going to be OK!’ and I just fell,” she told us. “A real fall — not a stunt fall — and I just fell on my hand and on my shoulder.”

“I got up and I was like, ‘Well, I can’t understand English anymore,'” she added.

But Sher doesn’t need to worry about any more costumes after that incident. According to the actress, The Middle’sannual Halloween episode will actually be a costume-free one.

“There’s no dressing up in this Halloween episode, but shenanigans do ensue,” she explained. “They don’t do any crazy makeup or costumes this year, but it’s probably more intense than the other seasons.”

The Middle airs every Wednesday at 8 PM on ABC.

Be sure to check back with Celebuzz soon for more The Middle insight from Sher herself. For now, watch our exclusive interview with the actress in the video above.
