TV Buzz: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Casts Neve Campbell; ‘The New Normal’ Snags Matt Bomer for a Guest Star

USA’s longest running series, Psych, will premiere its seventh season on February 27, 2013 at 10 PM. The announcement was made via video on the show’s official Facebook page. Season 7 will feature a two-hour musical and the show’s milestone 100th episode. Episode No. 100 will be an homage to the 1985 movie, Clue, and include guest appearances by some of the flick’s original cast including Christopher Llyod and Lesley Ann Warren. [THR]

Which show is the first casualty of the fall season?

Apparently, Made in Jersey has that honor. CBS has pulled the drama about a Jersey girl who goes to work for a big New York law firm from its schedule. Not officially canceled., but Starting in November the series will be replaced by the fourth season of Undercover Boss. [The Wrap]

Goldberg will be playing himself on the NBC show, who happens to be the “star” of a fictional legal drama, Laws of the Jungle. Angela (Betsy Sodaro) and Rizzo the monkey are obsessed with his show. His fictional lawyer character also happens to have a monkey for a sidekick. [TVLine]

Chris Diamantopoulous will appear on at least three episodes of Arrested Development when it airs on Netflix. The actor, who could be seen with AD alum, Will Arnett, on NBC’s Up All Night last season will also pop up on FOX’s midseason show, Goodwin Games, and NBC’s Community this season. [Deadline]

November sweeps is known for its big guest stars on network television. Recently announced Oscar host Seth MacFarlane will show up on ABC’s Shark Tank with a business proposal by a man who has build a better fly trap. [TVLine]

More of Lifetime’s Dance Moms is coming your way as the network has renewed the reality show for a third season. The show will be back next year with 26 hour-long episodes. Dance Moms follows dance teacher Abby Lee Miller as she deals with the sometimes overbearing moms of her students. [THR]

NBC’s The Voice again ruled the ratings game last night with almost 12 million viewers. With a boost from everyone’s favorite singing competition, NBC comedies Go On and The New Normal also improved 33 percent and 18 percent respectively as compared to last week. Parenthood also benefited with a 25 percent increase in viewers. Meanwhile, the TV premiere of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog did, well, horrible with only 566,000 viewers. ABC remained steady in the ratings race and CBS experienced a tiny drop for their NCIS franchises with a leveling off for freshman drama Vegas. [EW]

Get ready to meet yet another one of Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) sisters. Scream and Party of Five star Neve Campbell will be playing a Shepherd sibling in a recurring role over two episodes. She’ll appear just as Derek’s career is suffering from the hand injury he received in last season’s finale plane crash. [TVLine]

The New Normal and American Horror Story EP Ryan Murphy broke some big casting stories via his Twitter Wednesday afternoon.
