The movie he’s making might be fake, but Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) is deadly serious about the credentials his colleagues must have in order to be convincing filmmakers.

In Argo, Mendez is leading a group of CIA agents who stage the production of a phony sci-fi film, and he doesn’t hesitate to grill his fellow agent Joe Stafford (Scoot McNairy) in an effort to demonstrate how thoroughly and effortlessly he needs to know who he’s imitating.

What’s the buzz on Ben’s latest movie?

Following a remarkable showing at the Toronto Film Festival, the film continues to build buzz en route to theaters nationwide. Affleck’s stature as a filmmaker continues to grow as he attempts to merge the critical accolades he enjoyed on his debut, Gone Baby Gone, with the commercial success of The Town.
