TLC’s ‘Little Shop of Gypsies’ Premiere: Sharp Tongues, Even Sharper Weapons
Go figure, there’s more to be mined in the Gypsy culture over at TLC. And it starts in the most likeliest of places for the network’s hit franchise: The over-the-top dresses.
On the cable network’s new series, Little Shop of Gypsies, prolific dressmaker to the clan Thelma Madine tries to pay it forward.
As the go-to person for extravagant dress designs, she makes a living off the weddings, first communions and other major ceremonies of the community.
How is Thelma giving back to the Gypsy community?
Now, she’s taking in 10 of its women as apprentices. She’ll take six months to teach the women how to create the outrageous designs their kinfolk crave. And Thelma definitely finds that she may have gotten in over her head.
Celebuzz’s exclusive clip shows. One apprentice has apparently become the odd woman out and the others have discovered a pretty awful new use for pins. Watch our sneak peek above.
Little Shop of Gypsies premieres Thursday at 10 PM on TLC.
