'Argo' vs. 'Seven Psychopaths': Box Office Battle (POLL)
Aspiring filmmakers will be flocking to the box office this weekend as not one, but two new releases revolves around movie-making. Well, sort of.
Based on true events, Ben Affleck's Argo revolves a CIA agent who must disguise himself as a Canadian filmmaker in order to slip into Iran during the Iranian Revolution and rescue six American hostages. During the ordeal, the agent (Affleck) drums up a dummy film production company and sci-fi movie in order to fool those who are guarding the borders.
How does 'Seven Psychopaths' fit into movie-making?
Starring Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken and Woody Harrelson, Seven Psychopaths follows an aspiring screenwriter who accidentally finds himself in the crosshairs of a local mob boss when his friends accidentally kidnaps the kingpin's beloved shih tzu. Stuck on getting a story out, writer (Rockwell) then starts documenting their adventures as a part of his movie.
