Lindsay Lohan Voting for Mitt Romney; Dad Michael Says She's Being Manipulated by Mom Dina
Lindsay Lohan is getting political.
The troubled 26-year-old starlet, who this week got into a heated and violent argument with her mother, Dina, threw her hat into the political ring on Thursday when she came out in support of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The reason: She's worried about unemployment.
"I just think employment is really important right now," Lohan told E! News at the Mr Pink's Ginseng Drink in Los Angeles. "So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now."
Meanwhile, Lindsay is now facing harsh criticisms from her father, Michael, after Lindsay apologized for accusing Dina of being on cocaine at the time of their altercation.
Lohan called TMZ Live Thursday to refute the allegations she made in a frantic phone call to Michael early Wednesday morning that was subsequently leaked to TMZ.
"Why is it that every time someone nails Dina doing something wrong, either on camera or on tape, they are always lying," he continued.
"I know Lindsay loves me and I love her very much."
Lindsay and Dina got into a nasty fight early Wednesday morning after clubbing together in New York. Police were on the scene at Dina's Long Island home when the mother-daughter duo arrived home, though no arrests were made.
The fight was said to be over money Lindsay lent to Dina to save Dina's home from foreclosure.
