Last we left Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) on ABC's Revenge, her not-quite-buddy Aiden (Barry Sloane) had just come to her aid.

The White Haired Man, newly framed for kidnapping and torturing Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) took what he needed to prove his innocence from Emily and then promptly proceeded to attempt to take her life, too. But Emily can handle herself, so when Aiden rushed to her aid unannounced and unexpected, it was not a welcome surprise.

Or at least, that's what it looks like in "Confidence," the next all-new episode of Revenge on which the Graysons are back in the spotlight and the center of a media storm once again, while Emily's past continues to haunt her.

How will Emily handle the Aiden problem?

With blood pooling on her beautiful hardwood, Emily and Aiden must act fast to get rid of the White Haired Man's body, but Emily isn't exactly sure she wants to be in on anything with him, so she quickly takes matters into her own hands and overpowers Aiden. Did he simply get in the way of her current plan, or was she taking out a longer pent-up aggression towards him?

You can check out some spoilerific photos from "Confidence" in our slideshow above.

Something tells us to expect at least one flashback for Emily and Aiden in simpler, if not quite happier, times in "Confidence," though. More insight into why she's so opposed to Aiden's aid will certainly help the audience decide if he is worthy of "Team" status ala Jack (Nick Wechsler) or Daniel (Josh Bowman). Besides, we know he isn't going anywhere, but we don't know how he'll react or retaliate after Emily knocks him unconscious with a wine bottle. Was it just part of a plan to cover up the White Haired Man's murder by claiming intruders?

And speaking of the men in Emily's lives; Emily has clearly drawn the battle lines in the Hamptons' sand, and she despite some new feelings that may have slowed her down last season, she is back to using everyone and anyone who gets in her way as a pawn. When Daniel learns, for instance, that his mother was behind her own fake kidnapping, he seethes with his own desire for vengeance. Will Emily use this to her advantage or is simply driving a wedge between Victoria and another one of her kids enough for now?

With Amanda (Margarita Levieva) about to give birth any day now, Emily may have to scheme doubly hard to stay on Jack's radar. How will she stay grounded and true to her sweet roots when pretending to be playing for Victoria Grayson's team? And does she really think Victoria is the lesser of two evils between both Graysons, or is Conrad's (Henry Czerny) comeuppance something she will just work on later?

Whether or not Emily's new intensity toward learning the truth about her mother will get in her way may remain to be seen, but "Confidence" also introduces another new character in guest star J.R. Bourne. Could he be someone who knows the real Amanda and therefore poses a whole other kind of threat to Emily's plan?
