Breaking up is hard to do, especially when you have to return a Neil Lane engagement ring — but that’s exactly what Bachelor winner Courtney Robertson has done.

The reality TV star, 29, was snapped returning her $80,000 ring from Ben Flajnik, 30, to the famed jewelers just as Celebuzz reported she would do.

Carrying the box containing the precious piece of jewelery in her hand, Robertson hid behind an oversized pair of sunglasses as she visited the plush Beverly Hills, Calif. store.

What about her Arie Luyendyk Jr. hook up?

Robertson returned the 3-carat ring just days after she was photographed kissing Bachelorette’s Arie Luydendyk, who was rejected by Emily Maynard.

Rules of the popular show reportedly state that if a couple break up the ring has to be given back.

“Sometimes they make exceptions, ” Sonoma winemaker, Flajnik told In Touch magazine. “We’ve been together for 10 months. You have to be together for two years to keep the ring.”

The whopping bauble isn’t the first Bachelor inspired ring to be returned. The Ford Model joins a long list of Bachelors and Bachelorettes who have split before walking down the aisle, including Brad Womack and Emily Maynard, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi and Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez.
