Taryn Manning Arrested: 'It Was Like an Out-of-Body Experience,' Source Says of '8 Mile' Actress' Actions (EXCLUSIVE)

Taryn Manning is remorseful for the events that led to her arrest in the early morning hours of last Thursday, according to a source close to the actress.

“She regrets the actions of her night out,” the insider told Celebuzz of the fracas, during which Manning allegedly assaulted good friend and makeup artist Holly Hartman.

According to the source, the 8 Mile star was in New York City for several appearances and to perform DJ gigs; Hartman was tagging along.

What happened between the two that night?

“One thing led to another, and a big night of drinking and being exhausted turned into a regretful scenario,” revealed the source. "It was a personal, stupid fight, and Taryn woke up and found out she did something to her friend."

"It was like an out-of-body experience.”

According to TMZ, 33-year-old Manning hit Hartman in the face with her fist, kicked her in the face and torso, and slammed her head against the floor and wall. The alleged violence led to Manning being charged with assault and obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

But Hartman, 23, wants to drop all charges, according to the website.

The alleged incident occurred at the Dream Downtown Hotel, which is no stranger to drama: as Celebuzz previously reported, it's the same place where Lindsay Lohan was accused of hitting  a pedestrian last month.
