Justin Bieber Visits Sick Fan in Hospital, Thanks His Beliebers for Making It Happen (PHOTO)
Justin Bieber may be one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, but the 18-year-old knows how important it is to give back.
After a worldwide Twitter campaign, Bieber visited Crystal Montgomery, an 18-year-old fan battling a devastating bone cancer, at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta. Montgomery's friends launched their Twitter campaign last week to try and get the "Beauty and a Beat" singer to visit their sick friend -- and their plan was a success.
On Monday, Bieber tweeted, “My fans are amazing. They made me aware of something. I’m gonna make good on it. #giveback.” After the 18-year-old superstar posted a photo with the message #bieberforcrystal, the hashtag trended across Canada.
How did Bieber do right by Montgomery and his tweeting fans?
Montgomery was diagnosed with osteosarcoma earlier this year, reports The Toronto Sun, and will soon undergo surgery to amputate her left arm.tweeted -- before visiting Montgomery for a few minutes in the hospital.
“He’s amazing, he’s an inspiration. To see him be such a mega-star so willing to help people, and he’s just such a great person,” Montgomery told The Toronto Sun. “He’s an inspiration to everyone.”
For Bieber, however, his Beliebers are his inspiration. "Thanks to the fans for always pointing me on the right path," Bieber tweeted.Nicki Minaj. The singer recently released the track's music video, which managed to generate some serious buzz, given the video's marketing hype.
The teen successfully punk’d his fans — and the press — after alleging that his laptop, which had personal footage stored on it, had been stolen, only to release the video — conveniently made from his “personal footage.”
“Since i was 14 i have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family… to saying i had a baby with a woman i never even met. nude pics, drugs, my family, my character…but today…today i get to be in on it,” Bieber tweeted on Friday.
