Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were married Friday, the couple has confirmed.

"It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends," they said in a joint statement.

The news follows a full week of speculation about the top-secret nuptials, which took place in front of approximately 80 loved ones at the church on the grounds of the Borgo Engazia resort in Puglia, Italy, Celebuzz has confirmed.

The celebrations began earlier this week, with an evening bash at the beachfront resort of Riva Dei Ginepri. During the soiree, partygoers — which included guests like Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg and Biel's former 7th Heaven co-star, Beverly Mitchell — soon took in the majestic Southern Italy scenery, traditional Neapolitan music and a dazzling 10-minute fireworks display. Guests snacked on Amare Lucano appetizers — the native food of the region — and sipped on Lucanian wine, an eyewitness told Celebuzz exclusively.

As Celebuzz previously reported, Timberlake and Biel kept their "I do" location under wraps up until the last minute — even the invitees didn’t even know where they were going until they were already en route. “Guests flew out on Monday and landed in Frankfurt with no further instructions,” the source said. “Upon their arrival, they were all given itineraries and tickets to the south of Italy, where the wedding festivities will take place.”

Just prior to the wedding, Celebuzz spoke exclusively to Timberlake's aunt, Jane Harless, who had nothing but great things to say about her nephew's new bride. “We couldn’t ask for a better daughter-in-law,” she gushed. “We just love her.”

Biel and Timberlake dated on-and-off for five years before tying the knot. Timberlake proposed to blushing bride in December with a vintage-style, square-cut diamond engagement ring that made its public debut at a Lakers game in March.

In July, Biel opened up about her stunning ring, telling InStyle, "I had no say whatsoever [in the ring]. I don’t micromanage. He is fearless in his choices and has a real eye for design. And I’ll be honest: He has better taste than I do."

At a recent press conference to promote his new movie Trouble With the Curve, Timberlake said of his now-wife, "She's a really, really, really special person."

ABC news is reporting that Ann Romney's brother Roderick Davies filed for bankruptcy in 2010 and her nephew Ryan Davies oversaw a now-bankrupt green energy venture. These two failed businessmen are out campaigning for Mitt Romney. They are likely cabinet appointments. Nepotism at it's worst.
