Kate Middleton Wants to Learn Horseback Riding Despite Allergies
Kate Middleton wants to take reign of the reins.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 30, has expressed interest in learning to ride, despite claims she's allergic to horses.
The news surfaced after she met with members of Britain's Olympic and Paralympic medalists on Tuesday evening at Buckingham Palace, where the stylish royal wore an Alice Temperley number for the occasion.
“Kate said she's learning to ride, so I offered to give her some lessons," Paralympic medalist Lee Pearson told the Telegraph. "I said, 'If you ever want a dressage lesson, come up to Staffordshire.'"
He added, "The Countess of Wessex said, 'Kate is allergic to horses.' I said, 'So am I – but antihistamines are wonderful.'"
However, Middleton isn't the only royal who has a keen interests in horses: Both her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry are avid polo players and horseback riders, while Prince Charles has only recently given up the sport.
It seems like horseback riding certainly runs in the family and Kate fits right in.
