“[He] sustained multiple injuries to his neck, ribs and collarbone,” according to a statement obtained by Celebuzz.
“He is currently receiving treatment for these injuries from his physicians” after his black Escalade hit another vehicle head on outside of the Beverly Hills Hotel in the early afternoon Oct. 24.
But he he’s been able to get through it all with the help of his fans’ well-wishes.
“He would like to thank all of his fans for the outpouring of support that he has received since the accident,” his rep added in the statement.
The 42-year-old rapper-turned-actor shared his relief with his more than 9 million followers on Twitter Thursday: “Woah…that was a close one!” he wrote.
While an ambulance was called to the scene, no one was taken to the hospital, according to a TMZ report. A law enforcement source said everyone involved in the accident complained of pain, including Combs and his driver.
A report was taken, but no citations were issued.
TMZ later released photos showing the superstar lying on the grass outside the hotel, leaning over with a pain-stricken expression, and later talking on his cell phone.
Combs is set to guest star on FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Though there are few details surrounding the hip-hop mogul’s role, he began filming in mid-September.
