'Skyfall' Introduces New Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe (VIDEO)
James Bond (Daniel Craig) has always shared his bed with a bevy of incredible beauties, and in Skyfall, the character soaps up with Bérénice Marlohe, who plays the seductive, troubled and yet predictably irresistible Severine.
But who is this comely actress? Celebuzz recruited film critic Alicia Malone and fellow Daily Buzz host Nicole Dabeau to offer some insights into where she came from, and what role she plays in the film.
Born of a French mother and half-Cambodian-half-Chinese father, the 33-year-old actress has appeared in numerous French productions, primarily on television.
As Severine, she is a companion and intermediary for Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem), the man Bond is determined to meet – and stop – at all costs. Caught between a man who relentlessly controls her and another who promises freedom, Marlohe provides much more than eye candy, even if she ranks second in the hierarchy of Bond’s women, after Judi Dench’s M, that is.
Audiences can see much more of Marlohe in Skyfall when the film opens nationwide November 9. Watch the film’s theatrical trailer below.
