TV Buzz: 'Revenge' Brings On '24' Alum for Guest Spot; NBC Orders Additional Scripts of 'Chicago Fire'
Grayson Global has a new investor on ABC’s soapy Revenge. 24 alum Joaquim de Almedia will play Salvador Grobet, a man from Central America who is a wealthy investor in Edward Grayson (William Devane) and Conrad Grayson’s (Henry Czerny) company. [THR]
NBC’s Chicago Fire was up 20% in the ratings Wednesday night as compared to last week with 6.3 million viewers. The bump was most likely thanks to its lead in of the 300th episode of Law & Order: SVU. Though the firefighter show made some improvement, it was beat by CBS’ CSI which won the 10 o’clock hour with 9.8 million viewers. Overall Game 1 of the World Series won the night but accurate ratings aren’t yet available. [EW]
After it’s bump in the ratings last night, NBC has given freshman drama Chicago Fire an order for five more scripts. The peacock network gave the same order to the Jimmy Fallon produced Guys With Kids earlier this week. [Deadline]
Joss Whedon’s ABC pilot -- Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. -- is shaping up quite nicely. Actress Ming-Na, who is most well known for role on ER, is joining the pilot as Agent Melinda May. The character is an ace pilot who is slightly damaged from her past fighting as a soldier. She joins Clark Gregg on the show, who is reprising his role as Agent Coulson from Iron Man, Thor, and the Avengers. [Deadline]
The men and woman of TLC’s Breaking Amish are coming back together for a reunion. The special, hosted by NBC’s Michelle Beadle, will allow them to set the record straight by tackling the rumors regarding the authenticity of their backgrounds and confront each other about what really happened in New York. The two–part reunion special will air Sunday, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 at 10 PM. [TLC]
