One Direction Teams Up With Saints Quarterback Drew Brees for Pepsi Commercial – And Harry Styles Isn’t Happy About It (VIDEO)

One Direction has drafted its sixth member. Teenage girls, meet Drew Brees.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback joined One Direction as the sixth member of the British boy band for their new Pepsi commercial — but some members of 1D weren’t so happy with the pick. Brees, however, couldn’t be more pleased about his career move. But does 1DB (1D + DB) have what it takes?

Of course, it’s all in jest, but ladies’ man Harry Styles gives a convincing performance for the camera. “He’s too big, takes up to much space and can’t hold a tune,” he complains.

Meanwhile, Zayn Malik criticizes the QB’s “monotone kind of voice” and Liam Payne admits, “There’s a gap in the market for a sports star turned popstar, but I’m just not sure whether it’s for him.”

At least Brees has Louis Tomlinson on his side. “I find the fact that we have the sixth member in the band quite choking,” Tomlinson says.

Given Brees’ busy day job — and his lack of singing abilities — he probably won’t be joining 1D for their 2013 world tour. But at least he gets to star alongside the famous lads in their new Pepsi commercial. That’s still considered a win, right?

One Direction’s sophomore album, Take Me Home, drops Nov. 13. “Live While We’re Young” is the boy band’s current single.
