‘Glee’ Covers ‘Gangnam Style’: New Directions Take Psy’s Hit to Sectionals (VIDEO)

Unsurprisingly, Glee is covering “Gangnam Style.”

The FOX comedy has been known to cover internet crazes — do flash mobs, memes and “Call Me Maybe” ring a bell? Now, Psy’s hit is getting the gleek treatment.

Judging from this newly released sneak peek, it looks like New Directions is saving the dance-heavy number for Sectionals — with Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) taking the lead.

In the clip, cast members Ushkawitz, Darren Criss and Kevin McHale reveal parts of the “Gangnam Style” performance as a reward for fans who’ve been patiently waiting weeks to see the aftermath of Glee’s devastating “Break Up” episode.

The full “Gangnam Style” performance won’t be available until November — just in time for Sectionals! — but thankfully, Glee returns Thursday, Nov. 8 with Grease lightning and a new face. Glee Project winner Blake Jenner joins the cast as McKinley football player, Ryder.

His debut episode, “The Role You Were Born to Play,” will even feature a duet with leading man, Cory Monteith. The two will take on Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero,” and according to Jenner, the song doesn’t disappoint.

“It’s really epic,” Jenner told Celebuzz at the premiere of FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum in October. ”It’s really awesome. It’s a crazy, crazy ride!”

“Cory is the best actor,” he added. “I learned so much just by working with him. The other day were on-set, and he was just giving me advice and telling me stories about his life… about acting and the choices that he makes… He’s just awesome. He’s like a big brother.”

Glee airs Thursdays at 9 PM on FOX.
