Taylor Swift Talks Love Life in 'Cosmopolitan': 'I Need That Unexplainable Spark'
Taylor Swift has a lot to say about the topic of love.
In the December issue of Cosmopolitan, the 22-year-old country superstar dishes on what she needs in a relationship -- and what really irks her about boys.
“I can’t deal with someone wanting to take a relationship backward or needing space or cheating on you,” she said.
“It’s a conscious thing: it’s a common-sense thing...I just don’t ever want to end up in a relationship that isn’t fair ever again.”
Swift, who reportedly just split from boyfriend Conor Kennedy after dating for almost four months, is basking in the success of her latest album, Red. In its first week alone, the album sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, making it the most successful first week release in a decade.
“I need that unexplainable spark,” she told Cosmopolitan.
“I just need to see someone and feel ‘Oh, no, uh-oh.’ It’s only happened a few times in my life, but I feel like if I was gonna be with someone forever, it would be because I saw them and I thought, ‘Oh, no.’”John Mayer? Jake Gyllenhaal? Taylor Lautner?) she might be referring to, the singer is already looking forward to grown up life.
One day, Swift hopes to be “a mom full time, doing everything for my kids, having a bunch of them."
"But that’s the only other thing that could be as thrilling for me as doing this,” she added.
