Chris Brown to Stay on Supervised Probation For Rihanna Assault Case
Less than 24 hours after he dressed up as a terrorist for Halloween, Chris Brown appeared before a judge in a Los Angeles courtroom for a probation progress hearing stemming from his 2009 assault case with then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos asked Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg for permission for Brown to go on an upcoming world tour.
In a lighter moment during the brief appearance, 23-year-old Brown attempted to address the court at one point, but faced the wrath of his attorney.
"I don't dance, you don't talk," Geragos told Brown, to the amusement of the judge who admitted that she would like to see Brown's lawyer dance.
According to the Associated Press, the hearing did not address questions raised at a previous hearing about whether the R&B singer had completed the terms of his community labor sentence.
He is scheduled to return to court Jan. 17.
Despite the court wrangle, Brown and Rihanna have been spotted together in New York recently and infamously exchanged what appeared to be a kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.
As Celebuzz previously reported, the exes were seen kissing at Manhattan's Griffin nightclub in October.
