“Glease” is the word!

After a long hiatus, FOX’s Glee finally returns this week with new characters, familiar faces and “Grease Lightning.” In the upcoming episode “The Role You Were Born to Play,” the McKinley High production of Grease is being cast — but not everyone was born to hand jive.

Artie (Kevin McHale) recruits McKinley graduates Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) to help Finn (Cory Monteith) with auditions for the musical. Jake (Jacob Artist) and football player Ryder Lynn (Blake Jenner) duke it out for the role of Danny, while misfit Marley and Cheerio Kitty (Becca Tobin) vie for the part of Sandy.

Ryder and Marley may score the leads in musical, but that doesn’t mean the other New Directions members — new and old — won’t get to join in on the Grease action.

Blaine (Darren Criss) takes the lead on “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “Beauty School Drop Out,” while Mercedes teaches the glee club how to loosen up with “Born to Hand Jive.” Meanwhile, Santana (Naya Rivera) teams up with Unique (Alex Newell) and NYADA dance instructor Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) on “There are Worse Things I Could Do.”

Glee will also release Glee: The Music Presents Glease, featuring songs from the Grease-themed Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 episodes on Nov. 6.

Glee airs Thursdays at 9PM ET on Fox. Listen to the music from Glee: The Music Presents Glease below.
