Kristen Bell Expecting First Child With Fiancé Dax Shepard (VIDEO)
The engaged couple is preparing for their first-ever bundle of joy. "It is true — they are expecting their first child in late spring," Bell's rep confirms to Celebuzz.
The House of Lies actress, 32, and the Parenthood star, 37 — who have been dating since 2007 — have been engaged for nearly three years. But it seems baby comes before marriage for the Hit & Run co-stars, who have said they don't intend to tie the knot until same-sex couples can legally marry in California.
"They're so excited — they're both ecstatic. They can't wait to become parents," a friend of the couple told People."Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on, but she just started shooting the second season of House of Lies and is feeling great now."
In the past, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star hasn't been shy about her future as a mother. "We'll do it. We'll have some babies," she told Us Weekly earlier this year. "It will be our gift to America," she added in jest.
As for saying "I do," the parents-to-be are holding out until California's same-sex couples have the right to wed. "We've been very vocal about waiting until everyone in California has the same rights," Bell said in August. "We will gladly celebrate when our friends have the same rights as we have."
