Julianne Moore has been named the face of L’Oréal Paris. The actress will star in the brand’s campaign for its anti-aging skincare line in early 2013. [WWD]

Twilight stunner Nikki Reed is trying her hand at jewelry design. Reed teamed up with Pascal Mouawad on a new jewelry collection called Matlin Era — Matlin is her paternal grandmother’s last name. Each item in the nature-themed collection was inspired by someone in Reed’s life, including the pièce de résistance — a rose-and-leaf bolo tie called “The Paul” in honor of her husband, musician Paul McDonald.

On the heels of her successful H&M campaign, Lana Del Rey is rumored to be the next face of Versace. While a spokesperson for the fashion house has yet to confirm the news, speculation began after this tweet was posted by  fan Twitter feed, Lana Del Rey World: “NEWS: After being the face of H&M and Jaguar, @LanaDelRey is now officially the face of the clothes label, #Versace. Photos will follow!” [Glamour]

Queen Elizabeth’s designer Angela Kelly reveals what it’s been like to dress the Queen for over two decades in her new book, Dressing The Queen: The Jubilee Wardrobe.  Written in honor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and filled with personal anecdotes and fun pictures, the book offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into planning and designing Her Majesty’s wardrobe — including how two identical dresses — one for the Queen and one for her stunt double — in order to pull off the Queen’s top-secret stunt for last summer’s Olympics Opening Ceremony.

“The Buckingham Palace dressmakers worked quietly for months, never having both dresses out of storage at the same time,” Kelly writes. “Even they didn’t know why two dresses were required for the same event.” [People Style Watch]

After recently naming good friend Kristen Stewart as the face of Balenciaga’s new perfume, FloraBotanica, Nicolas Ghesquiere has announced that he will be leaving the famed fashion house at the end of the month after the two parties released statement, citing a “joint decision to end their working relationship.” While at the helm of the edgy brand, Ghesquiere has accrued a celeb following that includes fashion icons like Sarah Jessica Parker, Salma Hayek and Kate Moss. According to Balenciaga, a successor has yet to be named, and there’s no word yet on the designer’s future plans, but one things for certain: The fashion world will be keeping an eye open for where Ghesquiere heads next.
