Rihanna’s hairstyles have just as large — and diverse — a range as her albums. From a platinum blonde ‘do with bangs to a cherry red buzz cut, there isn’t a cut or color that the singer is afraid to try out.

Whether she’s rocking bright red curls, or sporting sleek ombre locks, Rihanna’s tresses are her main accessory, and like her outfits, the singer’s hairdos often correspond with the mood of her music at the time.

While the 24-year-old takes plenty of fashion risks, she loves to express herself with equally boundary-pushing ‘dos as well.

In the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the Bajan beauty admitted to being “rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair.”

So what does Rihanna’s latest hairstyles reveal about her upcoming album Unapologetic?

The pop star isn’t making it easy for us to decipher her ‘dos leading up to her latest album, which contain just as many contradictions as the singer herself.

Though the pop star dons a daring Ceasar cut for the cover of the upcoming album, which will be released on Nov. 19, she sported shoulder-length waves with a side shave while shooting the music video for the first single off the album, “Diamonds.”

And for the Victoria’s Secret Runway Show on Wednesday, the beauty chameleon channeled her “Diamonds” ‘do again, with a modern spin on old-Hollywood glamour, rocking finger waves pulled back into a low ponytail.

Like her music, Rihanna’s ever-changing hair keeps us anxiously awaiting to see what she’ll do next.

As we count down until Unapologetic’s Nov. 19 release, we’re taking a look at Rihanna’s diverse ‘dos over the yearsWhich of Rihanna’s hairstyles is your fave? Check out the Hollywood’s hottest hair trend right now in our video, below.
