‘Twilight’ Star Taylor Lautner Goes Alligator Racing With Jimmy Fallon on ‘Late Night’ (VIDEO)

Taylor Lautner may play a tough Jacob Black in the Twilight films, but is the actor strong enough to win a racing game?

On Friday, Lautner and Jimmy Fallon faced off in a hilarious alligator match on NBC’s Late Night, and let’s just say there was more laughing than rolling in the minute-long match.

“Safety is sexy you guys,” Fallon said before the race, as he helped his opponent secure his helmet.

Lautner, 20, stopped by the show to promote the fifth and final Twilight film installment, Breaking Dawn — Part 2, capping a packed week of talk show (early and late night) appearances. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who also made stops on Late Night earlier in the week, were challenged by Fallon to games involving a water war and giant quarters, respectively.

“It’s a weird feeling . . . I started the whole journey when I was 15 years old so absolutely, for those crucial years, [the cast] was my family,” Lautner told Fallon before the race.

As the gentlemen slowly made their way around the hallways of Studio 6B inside Rockefeller Center, the Late Night audience could only cheer for one winner in the end.

Team Jacob all the way, indeed.
