'Breaking Dawn' Star Ashley Greene Talks 'Twilight' Reboot: 'I Always Though Rachel Leigh Cook Would Make a Cool Alice'
Is Ashley Greene ready to say goodbye to Alice Cullen now that the end of The Twilight Saga is near? She might have to be.
Earlier this year, rumors of a Twilight reboot hit the internet, and while the actress says she'll "be jealous" if the saga gets remade, there's only one actress she would like to see step into her role.
"I always thought Rachel Leigh Cook would make a cool Alice," Greene told The Huffington Post. "She was rumored when the first Twilight was being made."
In fact, Greene, 25, even pictured Cook, 33, in the part while she was reading Stephenie Meyer's book series.
"Before I booked the role, they had all this stuff online about who Stephenie Meyer had in mind, and Rachel was the one on there where I thought, 'Yeah, OK.' That's who I saw in my head," added Greene.
But for now, the only thing on Greene's mind is Breaking Dawn - Part 2 -- and The Twilight Saga's incredible fans.
"Seeing how we brought these characters to life and seeing how the fans respond to it and how passionate they are, it's definitely a cool memory to have," she said. "The whole journey has been really incredible."Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might hurt the film.
“Hopefully it won’t taint [the movie] and people will still be able to enjoy it,” Greene said. “I think a lot of people see us as our characters. I really want them to still be able to do that."
