‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Kaley Cuoco Says ‘It’s Time’ for Her to Win a People’s Choice Award (VIDEO)
“I need to win. It’s very important to me. It’s time,” Cuoco said at the People’s Choice Awards nominations press conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif.
“It is really nice. We’ve had the best fans – they’ve really stuck by our show for so long, so it means a lot that they even think of us to be nominated. I’d love for the show to win.”
In 2010, The Big Bang Theory won a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Comedy. The show was nominated again in 2011 and 2012. Cuoco was also personally nominated in 2010 for her performance on the hit CBS series, but has yet to actually win the title as Favorite Comedic TV Actress.
Yet, thanks to her amazing fans, The Big Bang Theory has just hit 20 million viewers — making it the most watched sitcom on TV right now.
“She’s the biggest comedic actress on television. As the leader, she sets the tone of comedy,” Burnett gushed about Cuoco — who plays a quirky, blunt waitress in her 20s, trying to get her break as an actress on The Big Bang Theory.
Cuoco has plenty of other celebrations to occupy her time leading up to the 2013 People’s Choice Awards — that air live on Jan. 9 at 9 P.M. ET.
Cuoco’s work on The Big Bang Theory keeps her busy, but that’s not necessarily what she wants people to remember her by.
