American Music Awards 2012: Which Performer Will Steal the Show? (GALLERY)
As the American Music Awards rings in its 40th anniversary on Sunday, the roster of live performers will include something for everybody.
“The AMAs reflects pop culture, which is all forms of music, all genres, pop, rock, country, hip hop, alternative … all these things that normally don’t [go] together,” producer Larry Klein told Reuters. “It’s our job to make it flow.”
Country singer Carrie Underwood, raptress Nicki Minaj, alternative rockers Linkin Park, punk-pop singer Pink, American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson and Korean pop sensation Psy only add to the star power of the performances. Even music industry icon Stevie Wonder will play in tribute to the late Dick Clark, who founded the AMAs 40 years ago.
Celebuzz is breaking down some of the most-anticipated acts of the AMAs.
Find out which artists are set to impress when the 2012 American Music Awards airs Sunday, Nov. 18, at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
