Will Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Reconcile? ‘If It’s Meant To Be, It Will Be,’ Says Bieber’s Former Stepmom (EXCLUSIVE)

Although he’s achieved levels of success most people will never see in their lifetime, Justin Bieber is handling his split from Selena Gomez the way regular folks deal with heartbreak, according to the pop sensation’s former stepmother.

“What he’s going through is what an 18-year-old goes through,” Erin Wagner told Celebuzz in a recent interview. “What he’s going through is expected as an 18-year-old.”

Of course, Bieber isn’t your typical teenager, which has made this particular breakup harder for him to navigate, according to Wagner.

“He’s going to go through things that are not [of] the norm, because he’s famous and also very normal for an 18-year-old,” she said.

Bieber’s split from Gomez was first reported last Friday. Since the news broke, many fans have been itching to see the on-again, off-again couple get back together.

As for Wagner — who was married to Bieber’s father, Jeremy, with whom she had two children — she says she’s leaving the couple’s future in the hands of fate.

“If it’s meant to be it will be,” she said. “Justin has a lot of other things in his life to focus on, but we will support him in anything he does.”

“Whether it’s in this industry or any other, there can be no expectations regarding anything — in personal or business,” she added. “Things can change all the time.”

On Wednesday, Bieber was reported to have spent the night at Gomez’s house. The following morning, they were photographed arriving separately to the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
