National Adoption Day: 17 Celebrities With Adopted Children (GALLERY)

Saturday marks National Adoption Day in the United States -- and undoubtedly many in Hollywood are celebrating this momentous occasion.

Each Saturday before Thanksgiving, all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico hold events to finalize the adoptions of children. In total, more than 40,000 children have been adopted from foster care -- and Tinseltown's biggest names are just some of the many who have welcomed children into their homes.

From Charlize Theron -- who welcomed son Jackson earlier this year -- to Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, several A-listers have adopted children into their family.
