American Music Awards 2012: Justin Bieber Grinds With Nicki Minaj During 'Beauty and a Beat' Performance (VIDEO)
The 18-year-old pop phenomenon performed an acoustic version of his single, "As Long as You Love Me" -- which included an appearance from his rap alter ego Shawty Man -- before launching into a high-energy, dance-heavy performance of "Beauty and a Beat."
But it was rapper Nicki Minaj who really brought the heat when she joined Bieber onstage and grinded with the superstar teen. Some may have wondered whether Minaj would have to revise her lyrical reference to Bieber's on-again-off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, but rest assured Jelena fans, you still "gotta keep an eye out for Selena."
Earlier in the night, Bieber took home the award for Favorite Male Artist; he dedicated his award to his "haters."
"I want to say this is for all the haters who thought that I was just here for one or two years. I feel like I'm going to be here for a very long time," he said, also thanking his mom, manager, family and his "beautiful, beautiful fans."
