Prince William Shares Personal Snapshots of Royal Air Force Life
What's Prince William like without his wife Kate Middleton by his side? The Duke of Cambridge tried to answer that Monday when he shared personal snapshots of his Royal Air Force life on his website.
In the photo album, the 30-year-old is seen pouring himself a cup of tea, making his bed and doing other daily tasks at the Anglesey base, where he has been stationed since 2010. The second to the British throne currently works 24-hour shifts on the military base, attending briefings with his four-man search and rescue crew.
"Downtime is also an important part of the job," according to William's site. "When the crew is not conducting a search and rescue mission or preparing for a training exercise, they can usually be found re-charging their batteries in the crew-room or eating a meal in the nearby dining room."
In February, William spent six weeks in the Falklands for his first sortie mission -- the longest time away from his wife, 30, since they wed on April 29, 2011.
To make the distance more bearable, the royal couple have rented a four-bedroom home on the island where William is stationed. His current tour ends in 2013.Launch the gallery above to see William on his RAF duty.
