ABC’s Dancing With the Stars: All Stars finalists, Kelly Monaco and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy are setting the record straight about their possible romantic relationship.

When asked whether or not they are “boyfriend/girlfriend” on Good Morning America at their final practice, Chmerkovskiy denied the rumors by quickly responding, “No,” then claiming they are in a “four-month relationship.”

But then the trainer appeared to talk around his own words when they were asked if they’re “exclusive or going steady,” saying, “Of course, we’re exclusive, this is the only person I’ve seen, literally, the last four months, honestly, I eat breathe, sleep, poop, Kelly Monaco [and] Dancing With The Stars. That’s everything I’ve known.”

As Monaco looked at her partner, he continued, “When we first met, that’s the first thing I said, ‘We’re going to be married for the next four months. You [Kelly] are my No. 1 priority, and I hope to be yours as well and that’s the only way we’re going to be successful in this competition.”

Monaco added her two cents in, telling GMA, “We spend every day together, 12 hours a day.”

Chmerkovskiy also added to the speculation of their relationship when he said, “Is it a showmance? No. It’s all genuine and it’s exactly what it looks like on TV. [That’s] exactly what it is off the television screen.” With their multiple PDAs on the show including some kisses, it’s obvious the two share a deep bond.

The professional dancer said he thinks the two have really connected, because they both understand and support each other in being the underdog. Chmerkovskiy mentioned that he came into the season, feeling “irrelevant on the show,” living in the shadow of his older brother and fellow DWTS pro, Maksim. Meanwhile, Monaco, who won the first season of the ABC reality show, had to deal with her own challenges after she lost a dance-off for charity with runner up John O’Hurley after her win.

Monaco is one of three dancers to participate on the show’s first ever all-female finale including Olympian Shawn Johnson and former Bachelorette Melissa Rycroft. The ladies will each perform two dances on Monday with Monaco doing a paso doble, Johnson dancing the quickstep and Rycroft performing the samba in addition to a freestyle dance.
