Kim Zolciak Talks 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Departure and Spinoff: 'You Can't Get Fired, Then Get a Promotion'
On Monday, the cable channel announced that it has renewed Zolciak’s spinoff show under the working title Don’t Be Tardy… The announcement arrives as Zolciak fends off Leakes’ assertions that she was let go and with her final episode of RHOA airing on Sunday.
“I was not fired, and it is unbelievable to me that NeNe would sit here and say something so ludicrous,” the 34-year old tells BravoTV.com.
“You can't get fired and then get a promotion," she continues. "It doesn't make sense. Is she that angry? What's funny is she has so many things going on in her life, but she's still staying tuned into me.”teasing a blowout between Zolciak and her castmembers and then with the production crew on Sunday’s episode. And the football wife -- she married Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann last year – explains what motivated her departure from the series.
“The bottom line is this: I left Housewives because I was in a position where I was very pregnant and I'm at a very different place in my life,” the mother of three explains.
“It's almost like I cannot relate to the other women," she goes on. "I want to be home with my family, and it was just so combative and so aggressive. I can handle it and I have for five years, but it got to the point where my blood pressure was really high, and it wasn't before I started filming. I had another life to think about. It's really that simple.”
