In the wake of a religious video posted to YouTube, in which actor Angus T. Jones referred to Two and a Half Men as "filth," former star Charlie Sheen is now convinced that the top-rated CBS sitcom is "cursed."

"With Angus's Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed," Sheen -- who was fired from the show in 2011 after a very public meltdown -- told PEOPLE Tuesday in an exclusive statement.

"Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube yesterday," Sheen added in an off-the-cuff interview with TMZ.

Sheen quickly turned the attention to series creator Chuck Lorre, with whom he had a very nasty falling out during his 2011 meltdown.

"I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami," Sheen told TMZ.

Jones has since apologized for criticizing Two and a Half Men, a show he has co-starred on since it launched in 2003.

"While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear,” the 19-year-old told Deadline Tuesday in a statement.

“Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked over the past 10 years and who have become an extension of my family."
