Mariah Carey Busts Out the Christmas Carols for Rockefeller Tree Lighting Performance (PHOTOS)
Carey will ring in the holiday season with her famous carol when her pre-taped performance airs tonight as part of the Rockefeller Tree Lighting ceremony in New York City.
Despite the brisk winter weather, the singer sizzled on the Rockefeller Plaza stage while taping her performance on Tuesday.
"Walking to the stage to perform at Rock center. Let the festivities begin! Thx 2 all the lambs who are braving the temps here! LYM!!!" the 42-year-old diva tweeted on Tuesday before hitting the stage.
Carey got saucy with Santa as she belted out her holiday hit in sexy Santa's helper costumes that would have melted the North Pole.
In addition to the oldie but goodie, the American Idol judge belted out her new holiday single, “Christmas Time Is In The Air Again" as she sparkled in a glamorous silver gown. She also offered an a capella line from “We Are Family," changing the lyrics to "Lambily" -- aka the massive group of fans she affectionately calls "lambs."Nick Cannon -- and mother of dem babies Monroe and Morocco -- couldn't do the set in just one outfit. In classic Carey style, the sexy singer also donned a snowflake-embellished red dress accompanied by long fire-engine red gloves.
