‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’: Hugh Jackman in Talks to Reprise Wolverine in New Film
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jackman is in talks to play Wolverine in the highly anticipated sequel to X-Men: First Class. Should he ink the deal, he’ll join Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen — who portrayed X-Men founder Professor Charles Xavier and mutant leader Magneto in the original X-Men movies, respectively.
This will also be the seventh time Jackman has portrayed Wolverine on the big screen. Most recently, the actor had a small, yet memorable, cameo in X-Men: First Class, telling off Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender).
Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer recently announced First Class actors McAvoy, Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult would all be returning to reprise their roles in the new flick.
Meanwhile, Jackman recently wrapped production on The Wolverine, a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
