Kate Middleton Pregnant: The Tabloids Finally Get Their Magazine Cover (GALLERY)
There's no denying that many supermarket magazines have been speculating about Kate Middleton's pregnancy since the 30-year-old first met Prince William in 2001 -- but on Monday, they finally got their cover.
More than 10 years after their initial meeting, the royal couple, both 30, are expecting their first child together, according to Clarence House.
The news comes after rumors began to surface early last week claiming that the Duchess of Cambridge was with child.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby,” the palace said in a statement. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The Duchess is currently hospitalized for severe vomiting associated with, also medically known as hyperemesis gravidarum.
Though it may seem that tabloids finally got it right, it was all just a matter of time, according to royal expert Victoria Arbiter.
“I think what happens is that people get so caught up in saying it because at some point, they’re going to be right and then it’s going to look like they got the scoop,” she told Celebuzz‘s sister site, Socialite Life, back in May. “I want to say to them, ‘No. That was just good timing! You didn’t get the scoop.’”
To celebrate Middleton's baby announcement, Celebuzz is taking a look back at her most outrageous pregnancy rumors.
