'The Voice's' Melanie Martinez Talks the Future, Declares Season 3 'the Best Season' (VIDEO)
It was the end for Team Adam on Season 3 of NBC’s The Voice on Tuesday as indie singer Melanie Martinez and soulful rocker Amanda Brown were both sent home from the competition during the Top 6 elimination show.
Martinez, who has been known almost as much for her hair and clothes as for her performances, was optimistic about the future after her elimination.
“I’m feeling good,” Martinez told Celebuzz after the results show ended. "I’m just really happy that I got to show who I am as an artist on the show and really go through this experience. [Meeting] these just amazing artists that have really helped me grow. There’s just so much more I’m looking forward to and I’m excited. “
At the young age of 17, the show has made memories which are sure to last the high school student a lifetime. Her favorite memory of her journey thus far: “Just every single moment I spent with each contestant here because everyone is so amazing.”
“I’m rooting for all of them but I have to go with the only lady left, Cassadee Pope,” Martinez stated. “I love her.”
She also suggested Pope tackle another Michelle Branch song in the semi-finals.
“I think the stuff she wants to be putting out is similar to Michelle Branch and I think that would really showcase her vocal ability and she would kick ass at that.”
