Less than 24 hours after receiving a whopping six Grammy nominations in Nashville, the guys from fun. are getting all well deserved attention from the music world and beyond.

“We want them all,” lead singer Nate Ruess joked at a press conference backstage, according to Rolling Stone.

The band’s mega hit, “We Are Young,” is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance while their sophomore album Some Nights is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. The group is also up for the coveted Best New Artist award, against Frank OceanThe LumineersAlabama Shakes and Hunter Hayes.

In honor of fun.’s Grammy nominations, Celebuzz has collected five things you need to know about the New York based band.

 

During Wednesday’s nominations concert, hosted by Taylor Swift and LL Cool J, fun., made up of Ruess, Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff, also took to the stage, performing a special acoustic version of “We Are Young” with Janelle Monae.

“Unreal night. Thank you for listening,” the band wrote on Twitter following the performance.

The 55th Grammy Awards be handed out Feb. 10 on CBS.
