It's a birthday bonanza for Taylor Swift.
When the country-pop crooner rings in 23 on Thursday, Dec. 13, she will celebrate by marking a milestone: her 23rd music video. Ahead of Swift blowing out the birthday candles, MTV is honoring the six-time Grammy winner with a week-long party, which will conclude with the debut of her "I Knew You Were Trouble," the latest single off her record-breaking No. 1 album, Red.
"As soon as I started writing this song, I knew it was different from anything else on the record, so I knew that I wanted the video to be different from anything we'd ever done," said Taylor Swift via MTV News. "I wanted to tell the story of a girl who falls into a world that's too fast for her, and suffers the consequences."
Shot in Los Angeles, Calif., the Anthony Mandler-directed video shows Swift fall for a handsome beau — played by Broadway actor Reeve Carney — and get drawn into his dark, twisted world. "I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to work with Anthony Mandler and to have Reeve Carney as my co-star in the video," added Swift, who's recently been making waves with her rumored romance with One Direction's Harry Styles. "I can't wait for everybody to see it."never-before-seen snaps from the video shoot on its site.
