Honey Boo Boo's Father Is 'Fine' After Health Scare, Says Mama June (EXCLUSIVE)

Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, the father of TV sensation Honey Boo Boo, is doing "fine" after a recent health scare, according to his wife, June.

"He’s fine," June, known colloquially as "Mama June," told Celebuzz exclusively. "He just got way too hot in the Santa suit and started feeling sick. Once he got cooled off and got fluids, he was okay."

June was referring to an incident that took place on Dec. 8, in which paramedics were called to the Thompson's McIntyre, GA, home after Mike, 40, fell ill during the family's second annual Christmas toy drive.

An ambulance was subsequently called to the scene, where Thompson, dressed as Santa Claus, was checked out by paramedics.

Thompson was not taken to the hospital, according to reports.
