'The Voice's' Trevin Hunte Says 'a Weight Has Been Lifted Off of Me' (VIDEO)
While he may not be continuing on to the finals on NBC’s The Voice, Trevin Hunte is responsible for some major moments on Season 3. Even though his journey on the show is over, the singer says he is excited.
“I’m super excited,” Hunte told Celebuzz after his elimination.“A weight has been lifted off of me. I get an opportunity to go back home and relax, sit back, eat. Just to be around my family and friends is a great feeling for me so I’m super excited about that honestly.”
Hunte said his coach Cee Lo Green was, as always, supportive after his elimination was revealed.
“He was just giving me great advice and just reassuring me that once a member of Team Red zone, always a member of Team Red zone,” said Hunte. “I’m definitely going to take my music career as hard as I can and with him loving me and supporting me it’s definitely going to make it even way more better.”
The singer told us that in addition to the coaches on The Voice, he’d love to work with Celine Dion, Patti LaBelle, Rihanna, Chris Brown, NeYo and Fantasia on his album.
So who is he rooting for now that he’s out of the competition?
His teammate, Nicholas David, of course.
“I feel like he deserves this,” he said. “A lot of people don’t see the stuff that he does on a regular basis. He’s well rounded and he’s definitely a great brother to me and I love him. I would love to see him win this thing and bring it home for Team Cee Lo.”
