Justin Bieber Announces Acoustic Album Set to Drop in January (VIDEO)
Justin Bieber is going unplugged ... again.
“In January, my acoustic album is coming out,” Bieber told Ellen DeGeneres on an interview set to air on Ellen Friday. “It’s something I think the fans really like because I started out on YouTube just playing my guitar and just singing without all the production and stuff. I like to put out acoustic albums. I think it’s more intimate.”
The superstar had been teasing fans with mentions of an acoustic album on Twitter and Instagram for the past few weeks. On Thursday he tweeted, “back in the studio making sure I deliver for you #acoustic.” He later followed up the tweet with a picture of his feet kicked up on the soundboard.
This isn't the first time the 18-year-old has gone acoustic. He previously released My Worlds Acoustic in 2010 which included unplugged renditions of his hits, "Baby" and "One Less Lonely Girl." The pop star has also been picking up his guitar for acoustic sets on his Believe world tour.
Of course, the star is optimistic for the future.
“I’m so young. I’m only 18,” said Bieber. “I’m just blessed to be able to do what I love everyday. And the AMAs was a lot of fun for me so – Hopefully one day.”
Bieber will also dish on his new tattoos in addition to the the flack he got for wearing overalls when meeting the Canadian prime minister.
His interview airs on Ellen Friday. Check your local listings for time and station.
